M3904 Full Duplex

We are having problems with static on our Full Duplex phones. If we remove and reinsert the duplex cartridge the static goes away but may return in a few days. We have tried differenct TN, phone, another duplex cartidge, and different transformer. To temporarly resolve this issue we have unplug the duplex cartridge which then the static disappears. Any ideas?

Does the static happen on calls when you use the handset or just when using Handsfree? Also does it happen with Internal calls, External calls or both?

Phones are on different shelves.
Its on internal and external calls using handsfree.

Sorry forgot to ask can the other side also here the static or is it just the person with the 3900 set? Make sure you mute handsfree so that the other end is not just getting feedback when you check this.
