I have a question about the M2616 series phone.

I in my past programming experience only had the opportunity with Analogs (500) and (2008,2006).

I have noticed some of my 2616's contain Two TN's attached to them. Is this normal? And if so how does this work?

To get multi-line in the past on a 2008 we would just program another DN to a Key. This looks like it has a TN programmed to another key. If this is the case how do you wire this?

Could you post what you are talking about? There is generally only on TN associated with a phone, even a 2616, unless you digital to analog converters.

Its probably something like a BFS key but can't be sure without looking at it.

First I'm a network administrator that at my last job was asked to also help with the phone system. I'm by far not a phone pro and my new job just happened to have the same pbx so they have asked me to help out.

I have no experience with the 2616 phones. But here is what we have programmed-
here is a ld 20 dn print:

That just means the DN you printed appears on 2 different sets, 13 0 0 4 and 13 0 0 15 are 2 seperate phones.

that number is on two different phones, 13 4 on key 0 and 13 15 on key 8

Ok I have never ran across this before so this is new to me.
So if someone dials 231 it is ringing on two different phones.

It appears on 2 phones, to see if it rings you would have to print the TN.

13 4 is the Primary Phone

13 15 is probally an Admin with 231 appearing on it.

This is a common setup in a Boss/Admin setup.

In key programming what is SCC and ADL?

Speed call and autodial.

231 on the two phones you printed 13 4 extension appears and rings (SCR), and 13 15 just appears (SCN).

SCC is Speed call Controller, this Key can change the numbers in the Speed call List.

TN 013 0 00 04 key 0 is (SCR) single call ringing - means the phone rings.

TN 013 0 00 15 key 8(SCN)single call non-ringing - means the phone doesn't ring but the indicator will flash when that DN is in use.

TN 013 0 00 04 could be the boss and TN 013 0 00 15 the assistant who is then able to tell if the boss is on the telephone.
