M2616 - no mute feature on handset calls?

just realized this after years of working with tehse phones....we dont use many 2616's anymore but this came up today...someone wanted to know how to mute their call when using the handset...and i see no way to do it! Only see mute for handsfree....

is there any cls or key i can program to be able to mute a handset call..i doubt it but figured i'd ask...if it cant be done on handset and only speaker, thats just plain dumb

(but hopefully I'm the dumb one who just doesnt know how to make it work...but if its not me and its nortel, that weak... I have a $2 kitchen phone that has a mute key, but nortel doesnt put it on a business set?)

unplug the handset is a great idea!!...

except, the user wants to mute only his voice, but still wants to hear the other end of the convo, unfortunately =0

Give him a headset. He can mute that.

you could probably by a handset with a mute button.
