I heard that Nortel will no longer be manufacturing the M2250 consoles. Do you know if this is true? if it is, does anyone know if Nortel is coming out with a non-IP replacement product? thanks all.
My experience is that customers like simple stuff for smaller systems and as a result they will still want m2250s. I still have a few customers who still buy M2616Ds, M2216Ds and even M2006s from us. The same applies to M7XXX classic stuff for the norstars. As far as Nortel phones go, there's a lot of truth in the saying "they don't make 'enm like they used to" . The handsets on the T series phones are shagnasty horrible things (same ones used on M39XX. We do a reasonable trade in supplying replacements so I suppose I shouldn't grumble too much. The less fashion conscious folks we deal with favour longevity over aesthetics.
the 2000 series phones seem to last, i've got some here that must be 6 or 8 years old.. my headache is with eol for the 2000 stuff, how long will nortel software support then, we just not replaced our last 200 2009/2317 sets.. 20 years ago nortel was selling their evergreen policy, never had to upgrade, the phones you but today will be supported ....that must have went away
