Hi,

Noob question:

I have M2008 phones. When i go handsfree, i can hear the other party but he/she could not hear me. I plug the phone to other line thinking something wrong with the phone. But it works, the other party can hear me. I think it's all about setup and not something wrong with the phone. What did I miss? class of service? Please help and thank you!

In CLS: HFA (hands free allowed)

I have found with the M2008 hands free to work properly on our 81C, I have to build them as 2616's and the hands free works fine!!

Not all 2008 phones are hands free, make sure you have the right version. As DocVic says make sure CLS of HFA is right and key 6 has nothing else programmed on it.
If all else fails try another HF 2008 to see if that works.

Yep trvlr1 is correct - you NEED to ensure that the 2008 has a HF (indicates HandsFree phoneset) by it on the label under the phone. All 2008/2616 have a speaker so you can hear calls without going off hook, but you can't necessarily talk back to the caller unless you have CLS HFA enabled AND your 2008 says HF on the bottom label :) Many digital phones seem to have this external speaker feature and I am still unsure why that would be (tricks new phone admins into thinking they can set it up for Handsfree). I suppose if you are on a conference where you don't NEED to talk then all is well ;)
