I've got two questions that I'm sure that y'all could help me with...

I'm trying to compile an inventory of switches that were installed in my new employer's enterprise. My problem is that I've inherited several older S8300/G700's overseas that in-country VAR's support, thus, I can't call Avaya with a sold to number and ask them:

a) How can you remotely tell if an S8300 has an IA770 or an LX voicemail server?

b) what kind of permissions do you need to perform these commands - MSP's?

Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.

non-super user customer permissions will allow you to

"display communication-interface processor-channels"
LX voicemail will require an entry here; IA770 will not.

or

Display Media Gateway 1
which will show the Media Module config, if you have IA770 you will have "messging analog" in slot V8

Hope this helps
