<ESC> key deletes records

I've been using an access database where until recently if I hit <ESC> all that would happen is the information in the current record would be cleared if the record had not been refreshed. If the record had been refreshed the <ESC> key wouldn't delete that information. Now when I hit they key it delets the entire record. In the form properties Allow Deletions value is "no."

If you know how to reverse this problem I'd appriciate it.
