I am configuring a S8300 w/G700 and I have it up and running. However when I disconnect the network link to the wan the S8300 will not go into LSP mode. What am I missing?????

Thanks for your help.

What release do u have? Some releases have this issue. Do u have the patch on this?

Thanks.

have you verified the correct ip addresses in the MGC list of the media gateway?

we are installing cm 3.1.4. yes the mgc is showing the clan of the s8710 and the local gw.

did this ever get fixed. i am having the same issue with an 8300 and g350. it will like to the clan at the main site fine but will not register to the 8300. i did the show mgc and it is

192.168.200.3 (clan at main site)
192.168.101.10 (8300 LSP)

the recover transition stuff is
5
20
1 transition point

how long are you waiting? It may take a few minutes

also do "list survivable" from the main server and see if the LSP is registered and translations are updating

from the MGP do a list mgc, see if the LSP address is in the list

The primary seach time of"5" means it will search for 5 minutes before entering LSP mode, I would set this to 1 minute

the lsp is registered at the main site. i will change the 5 to 1 tomorrow when i go on site. i will also check the translation update. i guess the customer was changing route options and other stuff like that so the lsp never got the trans.
