I'm trying to add computers to the domain, however when I do, I get a message stating that : "The instruction at 0x77fcb317" referenced memory at "0x006c0061". The memory could not be written. These machines are Windows 2000 professional with Service pack 3 on them.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Suggestions:

1. Try on a 'clean' win2k machine. Does it work?
2. make machine a member of a WORKGROUP first. Does it work?
3. Check if the computer appears in AD Computers builtin OU. If so, remove it and re-add machine.
4. Assign a different user admin rights and log onto the Domain using that account.

5. Check machine can 'see' the DNS server. Try pinging using Hostname.

hope it helps
