I have two new Win 2000 machines that do not display an LPR port option when setting up a new printer. I have sucessfully installed it on another 2000 machine and it works fine. On the working machine I go through "add printer" and "create a new port" and select "LPR". I supply Name and address of printer and it works fine. New machines do not give me the LPR port option - they are running Win 2000 Service Pack 4. Working machine is running Win 2000 S/P 2. The printer I am trying to install is a Xerox Docutech 6100. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

It is not installed by default.

In a nutshell, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, look for the iconic Windows on the left panel, Add/Remove Windows Programs, Other Networking services.
