Did not get any utility or instalation with the hard drive.

My IBM Aptiva did not come with any utility either, or harddrive manual or other obvious documentation. But even though i'm just learning, it was straightforward to get the name and model number and go to the manufacturer's website, and download just what i needed and take care of it.
(Which i learned how to do by reading THISS website and asking questions!
