Hi,

I'm working for a charity you are using the standard SBS 2003 and we're looking for a suitable web filter/proxy system to prevent unauthorised access to dodgy websites.

Can anybody give us any recommendations for suitable software?

Thanks

Mike

If you have SBS you should have ISA server. You can implement some basic keywork / url filtering out of the box (dual NIC's in the server, one to the LAN, other to the router/modem for the web connection).

However I would strongly recommend using the SurfControl add-in to ISA. Really good enterprise level software. Not super cheap - but good value for money.
Alternativly, try something like C-Proxy. Used a demo, and whilst not what I was after; maybe more suitable for your needs.

Good Luck,

Steve.

I would strongly recommend Dansguardian. Is the best filter I've found and ontop of that its Free!

I've just implemented it in a school. As soon as the word got out that every web request was logged -- students walk around with very nervous expressions on their face.
