Hello:

I have requirement for a report with input values (using LOV) but the user want to have some of the inputs optional. I was thinking on allowing the user enter the ALL wildcard but then the user will be allow to types other things as well and since the input parameters is a descritption this will not do. So any suggestions on how to habe the LOV but still having the ALL option without allowing the user to type other things

Help will be appreciated. Thanks
J

Have a predefined prompt as:

'ALL' IN @Prompt('Enter .... or ALL','A','....',multi,) OR table.column IN @Prompt('Enter .... or ALL','A','....',multi,)

Make sure the actual prompt text displayed to the user is the same in both @Prompts above

This works because 'ALL' IN 'ALL' will evaluate if the user inputs 'ALL' OR the other prompt value will be used instead.
