we are doing away with our g650s and we need to move our loudspeaker paging to a g450 using a MM711. I tried to change the port on the loudspeaker screen but it would not let me. We are using TAC 3 digit dialing for our paging. any ideas. Right the paging is on TN763 aux trunk board

Command: change paging loudspeaker
delete the entry for the tn763 port

Command: add station xxx (3 digit DAC used for paging loudspeaker)
add this station to mm711 on your g450

I would ditch the page port (you have to) and move to a page controller.
Check out the Bogen and Valcom devices that let you connect as a CO port if you want to retain the ability to use the TAC/DAC. You can also modify your dialplan OR modify the number uses dial to page and get a page adapter that uses FXS.

I'd start with any of the page adapters or PCM2000 from Bogen and see if it matches what you are trying to do.

First I will remove that old TAC from paging loudspeaker So I change my dial plan and make my 3 digit TAC a 3 digit extension. Then I build an extension using that old TAC and use a port on my MM711 and it should work for paging access.

We use the Bogen UTI1 Paging Adapter (no affiliation with Bogen it just works well for us, and we have several). It has a switch which allows you to use either a trunk or a station along with other nice features. If you want to use a trunk, set up a WATS trunk in CM as Trunk-type: loop and Direction: outgoing then assign the TAC code you want to use. Set the UTI1 to trunk mode.

Its kind of cheesy but in a pinch you can tag of the speaker output on low end desk phone , program the ext to auto answer. Call the extension and you get talk-back as well. Just remember to disconnect the phone's speaker or you'll get push pull amplification and the desk phones speaker becomes a microphone. That's not good.
Cheers

Not necessarily. It depends on whether you can change what is downstream of your MM711. That device is expecting to talk to a trunk and not answer a ringing station. Since you were using an aux trunk before, the path of least resistance (fewest changes) should be to create a WATS trunk in CM and assign a port on your MM711 as its only member.
