Shutdown the system first. If u dont have the privilege to shutdown, you may have to power off .(no other go)
Then insert solaris 2.6 O/S cd in to the cdrom drive and boot the system by executing
ok> boot cdrom -s
system will boot into single user mode from the cdrom.You
will get the root prompt without a password.Then mount
the root slice say, /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 on a temporary directory on cdrom
#mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 /a
#cd /a/etc
vi the shadow file and remove the encrypted password field for root entry, save the file and reboot the system
#umount /a
#reboot
You have a null root password now.
