lost quark program

While working in Quark 4 - a message appeared "this program
has performed an illegal operation. This program will
shut down. It did shut down and now when I try to open my
Quark 4 at the desktop icon, I get the same message and am
not allowed to open Quark.

I did a virus scan found 3 viruses in the entire system.

I have shut down, rebooted and still can't get in to the Quark 4 system.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
