I have forgoten my password, does anyone know how I can get in and do my work,I do not wish to reinstal the NT Workstation all over again.

Thank you for your time and help

Is it on a network? If you're a domain user the Admin can change your password for you.

Otherwise, unless you can find something naughty on the internet, I think you're in trouble.

Are you the owner of this machine or does the company own this? Your IT Administrator should be able to reset the password for you or at the very least recover it. If not you’re going to have to "break" in. Which can become a long process depending on the strength of the password you chose. You will also need some specialty software and another machine to be successful. It can be done but it may take time. Remember that if you (or anyone else) can gain physical access to a computer no level of security will keep them out given the time and proper tools.

As already mentioned, if this PC is part of a corporate network, get you network admin to resolve it. If it is not, if you are are owner and have forgotten the password,

Does NT have a password jumper or dip switch like windows 98? Just asking.

Do a search on "chntpw", it is a utility that allows you to hack the PWord and change it in a simulated DOS environment. If you don't have NTDOS you will have to find and download it.
Every day above ground is a GOOD DAY!!!

You could try a neat trick outlined at this is where you install a fresh copy of nt to a different directory to the same drive (very basic install), boot to this, connect to the other systems registry (via regedt32.exe's (not regedit.exe's!) open feature, and add a net password account (not sure of syntax) to one of the systems (such as spool). Reboot the system with the original NT, and the system itself will reset the admin password to one you specivied. Look at the website above, full instructions are there.

good luck.
