Lost Partition????

I was merging two partitions named extra and media using partition magic. during the process my computer froze and when I rebooted it showed it as unallocated space. then I clicked on it and hit create a partition. now I have lost all my data. is there a way to undo this process? I was stupid and did not create the recovery disks.

I have learned a lesson not to drink and work on my computer at the same time ;)
