MY
let straight forward, i just bought my p4 system two months back with 6 partition.
c: win98 installed with FAT32 system file
d: w2k server with NTFS
e,f,g is Red Hat 7.2 partition ext3, swap file
h: is dummy drive which is not formatted to any file system

recently, my c: and my d: infected by some klez virus, so i backup all my file in my dummy drive which is my h: and format the both drive, but

so unfortunately, my dummy drive(h:) and all my three linux partition(e,f,g) is not seen in fdisk after i formatted the c: and d:, so again i install win98 in c: but in windows only shown c: and d:

now i need to know how to get back my lost partition drive?
this is very important because all hte backup in my dummy drive and now its gone. is there anyway?

You have two physical drives, and divided them into 6 partitions.

When you "formatted" the two drives, did you fdisk them?
What exact steps did you take to reformat the drives?

just i booting with win98 cd and from dos i just typed "format c:" then "format d:". after formatted i go to fdisk and when it prompt whether to display all the logical drive i just choose yes. and from there i didn't see my e,f,g and my h drive. after that, i try to install win98 into c again. after the installation, it only show c and d drive in windows explorer.

is there any advice solution from you guys?

canobe - just posted in your other (2k forum post). Another question arises - you say h: not formatted to any file system. This obviously can't be so if you backed up C: & D: to it originally - so what filestore was it? I posted links to data recovery apps in other post.

btw - now with just C: and D: 'visible' - does fdisk show any free space? (like that occupied by efgh).

yeah, so sorry. because i dont get any respond from this forum so, i post in another forum to try my luck.
