Hello:
I use Outlook 2000 for my email etc. I did not backup my PST (Yeah I know boo hiss)and I got a virus that del my PST. I used a program to recover data but no PST, any how. What are the key parts so that I can rebuild it (outlook)
Thanks Icon58

Thank you for your input, But I don't think you understand. A Virus deleted the outlook with other programs and I used a program to recovery the data but now I need to piece it together, I'll try the paper you sent but when I looked for pst no luck. Thanks again Icon58

Maybe you know that Outlook Express stores mail under the identities string which can be accessed by searching registry for .dbx files. Also have you formatted this drive yet?

Well I'm not sure what virus did this damage. I picked up the love letter and Norton's caught it and said it clean it, but slowly and surely my files started to come up missing. I was able to retrieve a lot of files but without knowing what to look for I cannot put Outlook back together again. And no I have not formated it. Thanks Icon58
