Lost outbound caller ID on SIP after R8 upgrade

Had outbound caller ID working great on 7.0.27. When I upgraded to 8.0.18, it stopped working.

On the SIP Line I have an * for Local URI, Contact, and Display Name. For "PAI" I had it set to "Use Internal Data". The PAI option seemed to be the magic that sent the correct caller ID, from the SIP tab on each user.

I upgraded to 8.0.18, and outbound caller ID now shows just the extension number (ie: 201, 202, and so on). On the SIP tab for the user, it shows their full 10 digit phone number.

Downgraded back to 7.0.27 and all works perfect.

Made no config changes between upgrades and downgrades.

I reviewed Sysmon and can see the field "P-Asserted-Identity" for each outbound call on 7.0.27. On 8.0.18, this field does not exist.

Thanks for any insight.

Did you ever find a solution for this? We are having the same issue.

Have you tied dropping the wild card * and putting the URI in each field(contact-disp name), i had to do this to get twinning cli working, not the same issue but worth a try

Yes, was a known bug in 8.0.18. It was resolved in 8.0.42.

We are still using the Wildcard, just as we did in the 7.0.x versions. Works like a champ.
