Lost my contacts!

When I opened Microsoft Outlook it said that the files have been corrupted and to fix the problem I need to go to the inbox toolbox, I also had to create a new profile to open outlook. Has anyone had this problem or can help. Please don't tell me I have lost all my contacts

depends where the contacts were. Try right clicking on the contacts folder and hitting properties - add to address book.

If you created a new profile, chances are a new *.pst file was created also. Search your hard drive for *.pst (it will probably be outlook.pst but there may also be a backup.pst and/or archive.pst depending on your configuration). If it's not too messed up, maybe you can open it and get your some of your contacts back. good luck.

Thank you for your suggestions. However ... I have done a search for backup.pst archive.pst outlook.pst and *.pst on my hard drives, and the message always reads: Search is complete. There is no files to display. Where has my *.pst files gone? Also, I tried to run scanpst.exe / Inbox Repair Tool but could not locate any *.pst files to run it. I am still unable to locate my contacts, inbox and outbox archives on my outlook (the contacts etc I had prior to setting up a new "profile&quot. I would really appreciate your help please. Thank you so much.

Open Outlook with whatever profile you can. Then right-click on the Outlook Today icon and select Properties. Then click the advanced button. The filename field will show where the current .pst file is. Using explorer, navigate to that folder, hopefully your former .pst files will be there also.
