Hi, I have a user who has somehow lost the menu and tool bars from MS word. I imagine that he has dragged it off the screen or something. I have done a detect and repair but it didn't fix it, when I log on as administrator(local) the toolbars are all there but when I log on with his username and password they are not there, restarts don't help either. Has anyone encountered this one before?

Lost them? Are they just not visible?
Right-Click in the CommandBar / Menu area and make sure they are checked.
If the missing menus are checked, they may be off the edge of the screen.

Just a thought - it's possible your user has gone to Full Screen mode. Press ALT + V to bring up the View menu and then turn off Full Screen.

Hi,

The link of Carr is a sure WINNER! (removal/renaming Data Key)This Key holds the complete configuration of Word!

But normaly a lot of problems disapear when you trow away NORMAL.dot (Words global template)
Word automaticaly creates an other when you restart Word! (Removal of Data key works the same, it's also renewed at restart)

It's in you're template folder in You're useraccount in application data!

Succes,
Joost
