MS Exchange 5.5 SP4
MS Win2K
MS Office2K SP2
Due to limitations in the IMS on Exchange, I need to drasticly reduce users mailboxes without limiting access to thier mail. I decided to set up Auto Archiving in Outlook.
They run the Archive once a week. Everything older than 6 mo, is archived. They open thier Archive.pst over the network from a shared data drive.
After setting up 2 users in this fasion, they are now reporting whole mail folders (custom made / and default ie. Sent Items) being empty, old mail being gone!
This seems to be sporatic, with no consistency. The users cannot establish any common aspect of the lost mail, besides all the mail being "old".
My @$$ is on the line here! Pls HELP!
