Lost Macro ? 1

I copied a word 2000 file containing one macro to another computer with the same Win 2k O/S and the same Office 2K.

On the new computer the word macro is missing.

Any ideas?

Maybe the macro is in the .dot template file instead of the .doc document file?

In any case, you should be able to export the macro module from the old .doc (or .dot) file and import it into the new.

Key Alt-F11 after opening the files to get to the VBA editor and use File/Export File... and File/Import File... from the menu.
