i remember i saw a site by an american US marine here in this forum. that sites used a very good use of short avi movie clips in the flash . i am just unable to find it again.. can anybody help?

moreover there was again another link which used adobe photoshop to edit a avi clip(to give it an black and white outline shape) and then imported it to flash

regards

Do you mean ? (if you don't it's still an exceptionally good site to check out).

The Photoshop trick I think you're refering to is to export a video clip from Flash as a bitmap sequence (under file>export movie) then import the individual frames this produces into PS and adjust contrast/brightness and colour there. Once you have the effects you want save the frames and reimport them into Flash as an image sequence.

There is a quicker way to get the same effect if you have something like After Effects or Sorenson Squeeze where you can use contrast or black/white restore controls to effect the whole movie automatically and export as a .swf which you can bring straight into Flash.

thanks for the link wangbar... bu it is not the site i was reffering. and also thanks for telling the way to manipulate the movie..

you were talking of a quicker way to have same effect.. through after effects..
yes i have after effects with the adobe premier(movie editor)
can u tell me how to achive it through that???

Bring in your video clip to After Effects and use the Brightness/Contrast filter in the Effects dropdown to really burn out the image to stark black and white then export as an image sequence or swf. You can then import this treated video into Flash and use it however you want.
