When our support team install a printer on a windows 2000 professional box they are logged on as administrator. The problem with this is that the printer will only be in the administrators profile and not the user's who requested it. I was wondering if there was a way to install a printer when logged on as administrator that would then reside on all profiles, and while we at it is there a way to do this with programs too??

Thanx for your help in advance. Its not crucial but would make my guys lives easier.

Regards

Are you installing as a network or local printer? If you are installing as network, try choosing local instead then create a new port (TCP/IP port) with the IP address of the printer. Install drivers, etc... Set it as the default printer and anytime a new user logs onto that client the printers should already be setup. Hope this helps : )
