I have a collegue out on tour that says she can log into her account, which is an admin account- and no longer gets her desktop and my documents. She gets the default desktop, and says that she has "lost" all of her files.

After a brief phone converstaion, I confirmed that there is a "documents and settings/her name" folder with her data in there (most saved on the desktop of course).

She doesn't have a roaming profile that I know of. She also "swears" that she's installed, updated or changed anything since she left.

It appears that her account has lost its link to the folder.

What should I quickly look at during a phone converstaion from a moving tour bus or worse, sound-check- to solve what has happened?

Thank you!

It could be that the profile became corrupted in some way. When that happens windows creates a new profile based on the default profile.

Take a look at the following to copy the data from the old profile to the new one.
