Hello in desperate straights.
Client has lost a e-mail box and arcserver was not backing up at the brick level. Is there another way of getting the mailbox or restoring the mailbox. Please respond.

Thanks

Hi,

This is failrly simple... Do not Panic.

Now that you dont have the backup of the brick level..

You can install Exchange on a different server (not on the network)
Ensure Server name,Site Name and Organization Name is the same as that of the original server (Case sensitive, space sensitive)
Apply whatever SP was installed before
Install Arcserve and the Exchange agent , apply sp4 on the base and the exchange agent.
Restore the Information store\Directory store (Exchange 5.5)
Restore the respective mailstore

Now you can backup the mailbox and restore it onto the original server or Export the mailbox to a PST and import it to the original mailbox

Thanx
