Folks, you might be able to help:
Running a 2.8 P4 with 1 gig Ram hyperthreading
Main drive 80 gig (all program files & boot files here)
2nd drive 120 gig (for .wav files, docs, etc.)
All the above working to spec.

Recording sound from my vinyl collection onto the drive, usual recording time of about 40 mins. (Using Wavelab)

Go to save the file and I'm told "cannot perform operation, lack of virtual memory"

Virtual memory was set at max/min both set to 1024 Mb, reset this to 2048Mb and still the same problem.

Background memory usage was at approx 100Mb of physical Ram at the time. Did notice about 4 or 5 scvhost apps running & using about 40Mb at the time, may not be significant.

The file itself would have been approx 350Mb, so I should have had enough room in physical memory alone to transfer to disk. Never had this problem before, anybody have any ideas?

TIA
Michael
