Hi guys, I have a spanned disk volume created from SAN storage (10x20GB LUNs). I created a spanned volume of 200GB and assigned a drive letter E: After applying the November MS patches on this host and re-booted, I lost the drive assignment for the volume (although volume seemed fine - no disks were offline). Right-click on the volume and re-assigned the drive letter and everything was fine.
Is there something that I have missed here, as to why this occurred? Thanks.

Regards

Terry

Guys does anyone have an answer for this. From the Technet site I found a technote that indicated that the problem maybe because I added the drive letter during formatting of the volume when it should be done after the fact. Before I reboot the server, can someone confirm this is the case. Thanks.

Regards

Terry

Can someone please respond to this issue. I have just rebooted the same server, and the drive letter assigned to my spanned volume has disappeared again. Can someone tell me why this happening..
