I am running a NT4 Term Server with Citrix Metaframe and about once a day the printers are lost and there is a spool.exe error from Dr.Watson. I have applied the patch for the Masterblaster that affects the RPC. This has been happening for a couple of months. It is just now starting to happen everyday. A reboot fixes it.

I'm not using 3rd party drivers. I've not changed any drivers or printers in the last year. All was fine. I can't pin point when it started, and it does not give any errors in the event log. Shouldn't there be a spool.exe in the system32 folder? There is no spool.8 file any where.

Not that i don't believe you, but could you post all drivers mentioned here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2

Okay, This might seem bad, but this server has been configured and running for 3-4 years. I was not here when it was configured. I did a regedit in Run, and it says registry editor has been disabled by the administrator. I'm logged in as administrator. I also went to the system32 directory and there is no files, only one folder named drivers. Is this normal for a terminal server?

Looks like your server is running policies for everyone including administrators. Perhaps somebody else can step in here and help you with that, because i'm lousy when it comes to policies.
Sorry.

I figured it out. Here are the drivers:
Brother HL-1240 series
HP DeskJet; DeskJet 850C; DeskJet 895c series; HP LaserJet; 1100; 2000; 2100 Series PCL 5e; 4; 4 Plus; 4000 Series PCL 5e; 4000 Series PS; 4050 Series PS; 4100 PCL6; 4100 PS; 4200 PS; 4L; 4M; 4P; 5; 5L; 6P/6MP - Standard; III; Series II

All the drivers after HP LaserJet are LaserJets. I was saving time.

You are using third party drivers on your system.
I have posted a list off all dangerous drivers, and their best guess TSE equivalent. You need to install the drivers on the right side, and set these mappings in the wtsuprnt.inf (.txt if never used before)

"Brother HL-1240 series" = "Brother HL-1260"
"HP DeskJet 895c series" = "HP DeskJet 850C"
"HP LaserJet 1100" = HP LaserJet Series II"
"HP LaserJet 2100 Series PCL 5e" = "HP LaserJet Series II"
"HP LaserJet 4000 Series PCL 5e" = "HP LaserJet 4"
"HP LaserJet 4000 Series PS" = "HP LaserJet 4/4M PS"
"HP LaserJet 4050 Series PS" = "HP LaserJet 4/4M PS"
"HP LaserJet 4100 PCL6" = "HP LaserJet 4"
"HP LaserJet 4100 PS" = ""HP LaserJet 4/4M PS""
"HP LaserJet 4200 PS" = "HP LaserJet 4/4M PS"
"HP LaserJet 6P/6MP - Standard" = "HP LaserJet 4"
