SIP setup with Broadvox. Using Wan port with Public IP connected to carrier provided router in bridge mode. I have it set to authenticate via the IP address, after initial setup with user name and password resulted in immediate outbound call failures. Upgraded them from 4.2 (20) to 5.0 (8). During the day, incoming and outgoing work fine. Around midnight a dispatcher arrives and outbound calls fail, inbound are successful. Outbound calls are successful only after several outbound failures. And outbound will subsequently fail again during the wee hours of the morning.

What a the setting on Primary Registration Expiry?

Goto; Line > SIP Line > SIP Line tab> Enter 1 for the Primary Registration Expiry (Mins) so that registration must occur every 60 seconds.

It works! Now if only I could remember what I did...

Also check;

Line > SIP Line > SIP URI > tick "Registration Required"

I have it set to 10 minutes with Registration Required unticked. Setting it to 1 minute and ticking Regis.Req. will force it to constantly register, right? Any problems I will encounter? This is my first SIP install and relied upon the Broadvox Tech's experience. (and the Avaya/Broadvox documentation)

I originally had it set up per the docs and deviated while trying to get the SIP circuit stable prior to installation. (and, yes,Becker, I know the docs are written for a reason...in case he reads this thread. :)
Thanks for the advice, I will post the process and solution.
