Losing DNS capabilities from client every 5 mintues .. help

Here is a diagram of my network.



<--- Win 98 - USB, Ether <---> Linksys hub/rtr <--> Win 2000

My Win 2000 machine will intermittantly not be able to get connected or lose a connection to a web site. ie -

http://www.yahoo.com

... I try 5 mintues later it works. I've hard coded the ip address for DNS in the W2K machine. I'm using ICS to route the messages to my ISP. The Win 98 machine works fine.

If I put in the IP address of yahoo it works.

Where do I look to turn browsing on or off? Do you know if there is a way to trace the packets being out on the W2K machine?

Browsing is actually Computer Browsing in services. To check packets try a tracert website from a command prompt where website is any website your trying to find. (Thats if your truly trying to trace the packets.) Good luck. Glen A. Johnson
