Hello,

I have a grid which is bound to a cursor and the recordsource for the grid is an alias. I am having the problem that whenever I recreate the cursor, the grid displays the data from the cursor, however, it replaces the grid headers I specified with the headers in the cursor and it also messes up all the widths that I specify in the Init of the form....I have read some of the threads about the cursor becoming unbinded whenever the cursor is recreated, but I am not sure if this is the case I have..has anyone seen this behavior??

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Set your grid's recordsource to "" and then recreate your cursor then set the grid's recordsource back to the name of your cursor.

...or...

if your cursor is readwrite then you can ZAP the contents of the cursor and then fill it back up again using APPEND FROM or something similar.
