Loosing components 1

I am using VB6, I have created some components which I have included on a form. I am able to compile and run the program OK, but on occasions I get an error message and the components on the form have disappeared and I need to reload them onto the form.

Does anybody have any idea what causes the component to be deleted from the form?

If you change the component interface (if it's a usercontrol) it will disappear, or if the component is not available (not registered ) or another version has been installed that is incompatible it may turn into a picturebox.

Just a couple of things to check....
