I'm trying to loop through a specific group in my Connection Directory. The goal is to login to a system (via telnet), change a password, logout, and proceed to the next system.

I'm trying to use the CONNECTALL option of the DIAL command but am not having any luck. Has anybody else gotten something like this to work?

Thanks!

I've heard of some problems with CONNECTALL in the past (and performing the same when manually selecting multiple connections), but have never verified this problem and don't have a modem on my work machine to test with. It also looks to me like you can't try to make a connection to multiple telnet connections via the Connection Directory, so that may be why CONNECTALL fails for you.

You can try using the dialcount command to iterate through all of the entries in a particular group, then dial them one at a time. I have a sample script here:

that shows how to read through the whole Connection Directory (you would need to add GROUP "groupname" to the dialcount command) and retrieve information from each entry. In your case, you would want to get rid of the set and fetch commands, and replace it with a dial command and the necessary actions to take once the connection is made.
