We have around 12 servers.

We are looking for a backup solution and I have started to eval BE10. I seem to be running into a few problems already.

We have a mix of windows and unix.

I am backing up to disk and setup the schedule policies ok for one server and one workstation (although it used the server agent cus I'm not on a Domain)

I am having problems with a couple of servers....I cannot push the agent to the server and when I use a manual setup from the RANT32 directory....things seem to hang.

The Linux agents are also not easy to install.

Does BE10 need to be a domain member?

Thanks

Si

never used 10 but assume it's same as 9.1
no they dont need to be domain members
just push the remote agent and put the login credentials in for the remote server - it need a good wad of rights to do this

I would look at CA's ArcServe software. Their support is worlds better than that of Veritas.
