Hi

Im looking for a tool (a free one would be great) that can do a full audit of Windows 2000 Servers. I need a utility that can report on the following:

Shares/Share security
File System ACL'S/Disk Space in use
Local Users/Group settings
Network config (ie IP address, DNS, etc. Host files) etc

I know there are numerous utilities that can do specific tasks - ie ipconfig but I dont know how to script them all. Has anyone got such a tool or know of any??

Thanks

Here is a nice script I found on the web. It audits the server and automatically writes a word document with the details in a nice format including a table of contents. I didn't write the script myself. But It is best run from a command prompt. When run in windows you have a lot of "OK" buttons to click on dialogue boxes that pop up. From a CMD prompt you don't have to do anything but watch it run. It's multiple files VBscript + XML. I liked it very much. I don't remember the page I found it on. A web search with this in it might find it for you.

If not I can email it or FTP it to you if you'd like.

HessA - would you please just copy the script into the body of a reply so we can copy it from there? Thanks, I would like to try it out.
