Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a new laptop and would ideally prefer a laptop that includes bright screen technology, but is NOT wide screen. From what I've seen, most laptops that have BrightView, XBright, etc. all are wide screen.
Two I've found that are standard XGA or SXGA (not wide screen) and use bright screen technology are:
* Toshiba Qosimio E15-AV101
* Gateway 4540GZ Model
The problem I found was that the battery life on these is not that great. And with the 4540GZ model, the video card was substandard.
Are there any I missed? It would be great to have a list out there.
I'd be doing website development on it and I believe a 1024 x 768 resolution is important. But at the same time, I love the new bright screens. Even if I had a wide screen laptop and hooked it up to my monitor, it wouldn't help me any would it? I'd imagine it would just mess up my desktop icons due to the laptop screen being much wider than the standard monitor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
- Matt.
