Looking for a mentor (UK)

Has anyone experience or knowledge of someone (in the UK) that would be capable of mentoring me (for a fee to be discussed obviously) through the DCOM process.

Trying to connect COBOL OO tables (on a server with NetExpress) to the business logic and then the VB screens to access the fields via calls to the business logic etc.
:
cobol (business rules):
+----netExpress (on PC)
+------ (as server to) VB - COM layer that packages data fields etc for transmitting to/from server
+------- to VB screens

any advice for where to look etc would be very appreciated.
