Long Distance Codes Required by Carrier 1

I have searched the forum on this issue with no real resolution. We have a customer that uses long distance codes through their PRI carrier. Call forwarding and twinning are not working because of the codes. While testing, I have tried to add a Y, a D, and commas after the number to be dialed along with the long distance code. With all of them, all I get is the tone to enter the long distance code. I tested them by creating a short code with the number to be dialed then dialing that short code from a phone. I tried add the Y, D, and commas in the ARS section with the same results. I tried each one separately. Also, I tried the Y with and without commas just for the heck of it.

The software is 7.0.23.

I am working with my distributor with no real progress.

Does anyone have other ideas on this?
 
The Y character is the way to go with PRI and carrier auth codes.



 
Post the ISDN traces of a failed call where you have used the Y character.

It sounds like the carrier tone on my end waiting for the long distance code. It goes for about 20 seconds before dropping. Within that 20 seconds, I could put in the ld code and the call would go though but I didn't enter the code on this trace.
 
Who is your provider?
Is 262372578 a valid DID number on the PRI?

 
The 920 number is an example of a number we want to forward to. It is a cell phone.

TW Telecom is the provider.

A lot of providers require that you validate the call by entering a valid DID number in the string.

Try building a new SC to test.

Try Dialed Number + S + Valid DID number + Y + 11

 
Don't see a q931 Connect or Connect Acknowledge messages.
The call appears to stall after the Progress message. Makes sense since you say you hear the account code tone.

The PI indicator appears to be waiting for entry. Definitely not working correctly.


 
Create a S/C & make sure you enter in Feature: Dial Direct.

Long distance on a fax machine on a pri with carrier codes,

ARS 52 for Fax

where 1234 is carrier code for LD, tried Y, comas, more comas, A LOT of comas, to no user, no post dialing is done on the PRI...

Never got resolved. The customer just got the codes removed. Not the ideal solution but there was no other choice.
