Logshipping Role change standby to primary

Hey, I found this without an answer, and realized I don't know it either. Can Someone comment on this?


If the primary logshipping server doesn't exist anymore (bomb?), how can I run sp_change_primary_role and sp_change_monitor_role (if the monitor was promary).
If I don't run it on primary, can I still change the roles to make the secondary the primary?

Also, will I affect the servers in any way by running these stored procedures? I am testing this in Dev, but still don't want to affect the servers.

No idea. This is why I never use the builtin log shipping. To much relying on the monitor server to make the backup the primary.
