How can I produce a log of all users connecting to a specific database loging there user id duration of access?

You might try Profiler; it can track quite a few things, and I believe logins/connections is one of them; you can group or sort by database ID. Robert Bradley

Where will I find Profiler in SQL 7.0?

On your Windows program group for SQL Server 7, Profiler should appear there (along with Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, etc.). Robert Bradley

Thanks for the info

I got it to log to a table in the database but it only works if I have the Profiler window open. How can I make it run all of the time?
