logs you on loads personal settings then logs you off?

Hello,

I have a machine running XP pro, I log on to windows (no password i click on my picture)it says loading your personal settings hangs around for a second and then "logging off"!! and thats it!! this is how I have allways logged on.

nothing has been changed on the machine that i am aware of, any ideas? has any one seen this before?
