Trying to see if anyone has experinced issues where during logon a user loses connection to the domain controller. The result is their desktop icons don't draw like they are a new user. Also if you echo the %logonserver% you'll get an error stating there is an issue connecting to the domain controller. Interestingly, you can browse maiually to the netlogon folder.

What you are describing doesn't sound like they are loosing connection during logon. Rather, the users don't have a proper connection to the domain at all.

Just because you can see the netlogon folder from the client, does not mean you have proper connectivity to the domain.

I'm not sure what OS your clients are, but I would first make sure DNS is working properly. After all, DNS is required for Active Directory communication.

DNS does work. The issue is during logon to a termianl server (2000).
