Hi all I had one of those "I wonder if" moments early this morning.. The question is; is it possible to logon to a machine without having to go through all the full logout process? Let me set the scene, imagine that I have 100+ machines that all have the same desktop and applications, I would like the machine to be switched on in the morning and logged onto this desktop with all the applications and printers. The desktop would have a dialogue box (LOGON /LOGOUT) where the user would put thier username/password to access thier work files and a LOGOUT button. I don't suppose this is possible but this (FAST SWITCHING)would be great. The machine would not have to go through the logon to access the desk top everytime a user loged on. It always seems daft to me, working in a school that the pupils spend sometimes only a few minuets on the machine, to reaserch, amend and print and most of that time is spent waiting for the desktop to reload....
