On an NT system, a batch file with net use commands is used to establish drive mapping across the network. In the user environment profile tab of the user properties page, the logon script name is entered. The batch file is in the c:\winnt\system32\rep\import\scripts directory on my old NT server.
How do I get the same functionality on the new W2K server?
I have tried in "active directory users and computers" opening the "properties" for the "user" and going to the "profile" tab. In the field "logon script" I entered the name of the batch file "login.bat". When I log onto the server as "user" the mappings do not happen. Where does the batch file have to be? What else do I need to do?
I have tried with the batch file in the same file structure as on the NT machine, as well as in the c:\root.
