Start-Programs-administrator tools-domain controler security policy

windows settings

----------------user rights assignment
--------------------Logon Locally ------Everyone(or specific group or user)

Make sure that there is no one listed in the deny logon locally

use GP that is associated with domain controllers OU.

what should i configure in the GP that is associated with domain controllers OU ??

that, what you want to achieve: enable an account to be able to logon to win2k server locally.

you can do it from your terminal.

i tried from my terminal but i cannot find the local account on the server that i want to enable logon locally rights

so, what kind of account would you like to enable to log on locally ? You must have it account locally on a server. Or you will not be able to configure it... :)
Is it a standalone server or a DC?
if DC - use GP.
if Standalone - use advice from Shutech.

it is a member server, i followed advice from Shutech but it does not work.
