Logon credentials

When users are logged into citrix and start a publised application, the app produces a logon message saying that logon credentials are incorrect.

When the windows 2000 logon screen is produced on screen it is defaulted to the local server name rather than the domain, once the domain is selected and the user info reentered the app starts.

Any ideas as to why the app is looking to authenticate with the local server and not the domain ?
